Salary : Starts from Rs 15600 – 39100 + Rs 5400/- Grade Pay with MSP Rs 6000/- {around Rs 90000/- per month}
Technical Branch (General Service):
1. Branch / Specialisation : Engineering Branch
2. Eligible Streams of Engineering Grade (BE / B.Tech.) :
(i) Mechanical (ii) Marine (iii) Automotive (iv) Mechatronics (v) Industrial & Production (vi) Metallurgy (vii) Aeronautical/Aerospace (viii) BS Marine Engg Electrical (ix) Electronics (x) Tele-Communication (xi) Instrumentation (xii) Instrumentation and Control Engg (xiii) Electronics and Instrumentation (xiv) Electronics and Communication (xv) Power Engineering
3. Minimum(%) : 55%
4. Both Male & Female
Candidates must have completed BE/B. Tech Engineering Degree from a recognised university in one of the above streams.
Age Limit : Between 19.5 and 25 Years (i.e. the candidate must be born between 02 Jul 1992 and on 01 Jan 1998, both dates inclusive.)
Selection Procedure:
1. The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in Degree Course. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account.
2. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam during Nov 2016 to Mar 2017. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their e-mail or through SMS (provided by candidate in their application form).
3. SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages :
3.1 Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day
3.2 Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
4. Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit depending on the number of vacancies.
5. Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstance.
6. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the SSB on receipt of call up letter.
7. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests.
8. AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for that type of commission.
